More Cats
Every weekend seems to bring more cats and kittens to our shelter.  Some are generous with their donations to help us care for their animals, reluctantly given up for sound reasons.  To those people, we say thank you.   More have simply been dropped off near by and find their way to our shelter.  To those people we say shame on you.  It seems to be a growing epidemic of treating cats and kittens as disposable pets in our area.  We are both saddened and outraged.  They used to be someone's cute little kittens and now they are homeless cats.  Sweet, beautiful, friendly beings that deserve better.  We are spaying and neutering as many as possible, but we need help with funding.  And we need homes for many adult cats.

A Kitten Nightmare
Here are three of six gentle young kittens simply left in the middle of nowhere to fend for themselves with no shelter and no food.  We were able to catch these three frightened babies, but the other ran away and we were unable to find them.  Below is where they were found.
There is no way these young kittens could survive in this secluded area alone.  If they didn't starve, they would mostly likely be killed by predators.  Why is this happening?  Because irresponsible people get cute little kittens and never get them spayed or neutered.  The young cats do what comes natural.  They breed and produce many, many more than there are homes.  The owners dump them in one way or another and maybe get another cute little kitten free somewhere to start the process all over again.  Others, people who care about the animals are left to clean up the mess.

The only way to stop the madness, to stop the euthanizing of 2-4 million cats and dogs in this country every year is to
SPAY and NEUTER your pets.  Stop the killing by stopping the excess breeding.

PROBLEM or the SOLUTION?
